Rodeway Inn Dickson

The area didn't feel safe, and my room smelled bad. It was dirty too, with bugs in the bed. I booked through hotel planner, and the pictures there were very misleading. We arrived late at night after travel delays, and the person at the desk wasn't helpful at all.

We mainly needed somewhere warm with power to charge our phones and other essential devices while our apartment was without electricity. Nashville had a bad ice storm and our complex lost power from Saturday (1/24) to Thursday (1/29). We checked in Tuesday (1/27). Check-in was alright, and they had to switch our room for some reason, which was fine. We got hardwood floors because my partner uses a wheelchair, but the room wasn't ADA accessible. The place wasn't clean. Whenever we stepped inside, dirty water or sewage came up between the floor panels and got our socks and shoes dirty. We learned they use a broom with a dirty washcloth attached as a “mop.” The bathroom looked grimy, with what seemed like mold in the corners. The shower curtain was yellowing and looked like they stole a hampton Inn curtain. There was a roach in the sink the first night. Wet socks from the floor left stains on the sheets, as shown in the last photo. We asked for an extra blanket for one of the beds the first night. They brought just one, and it had a couple of what were probably cigarette burns. At least the TV, electricity, and heater worked. We kept our shoes or socks on, wiped the counters, and tried to keep ourselves clean.

The blankets have holes from people smoking, and when they change the sheets, they just turn them around. Keep an eye on your valuables when they clean your room, because they'll go through your things. Don't leave anything plugged in either, since room service will break it and then act like they didn't do anything.

My dad has stage 4 lung and brain cancer, and he needed to stay warm after our power went out on 1/25/26. We checked into this place for heat, but the heater didn't work. We lasted about an hour before checking out. There were gaps in the door that let in cold air, paint was falling from the ceiling, the tub was filthy, and the stained comforter was too nasty to sit on. The place was booked, and two other people were looking for rooms while I checked out. I tried calling the manager three times to ask for a refund, but they wouldn't let me speak to him, and he hasn't called back. I don't understand why I couldn't get my money back when they rented the room after I left. Please don't book at the Roadway inn in Dickson Tn on highway 46.
