Knights Inn Dillard

We had a really nice, clean room, and it was much bigger than we expected. The backyard had lots of grass and a mountain view. It’s run by a lovely family, and the people were very nice. My wife and I were very happy with the reasonable price at Budgetel. We’ll definitely be back!

The suite was filthy, and we were extremely disappointed. When we finally got back around midnight, we just wanted to sleep, but both beds had dirty sheets. The front desk initially refused to give us clean ones, and only agreed after my husband got upset. They even said we could sleep in the dirty sheets for the night. The bathroom and shower were disgusting too, and someone else’s used soap was still in the shower. There were no trash bags in the bins when we arrived. We’d called earlier about towels, and someone did bring those. The man who checked us in at 1 o’clock was friendly, and we dropped our things in the room before heading out for the day. But that didn’t make up for the condition of the place. We asked for a refund and were refused. I’ll be reporting this to the BBB. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all.

The owners are very nice, and the view is pretty. This could be a pleasant place to stay, but it’s just so dirty. There doesn’t seem to be much staff, so it looks like there’s no professional cleaning crew, and rooms aren’t cleaned during the day. My bathroom had hair all over it; the sheets and pillows were worn and dirty, the blankets felt overused and grimy, and every fabric surface was stained. The trash cans everywhere were overflowing the whole time. You’ll probably survive a stay here, but be ready for all that.

The beds were wonderful, and the back porch has a great view. The rocking chairs are a nice little touch. Rooms look a bit tacky, but they were cleaned really well and regularly. I couldn’t understand the managers at all, but the woman at the desk, Misty I believe, was excellent and very professional. She helped with everything I needed, from housekeeping to booking. She should be the manager! Otherwise, I couldn’t ask for a better stay.
