Hotel Dilley Grand

Joannie, the property manager, has gone out of her way to make sure we feel welcome and looked after. We’ve been staying at Hotel Dilly Grand for about four months now, and it’s become a home away from home. It’s clean, the location feels safe and is convenient, and the hospitality has been top-notch. We’re already recommending it to family and friends who come to visit.

My husband needed somewhere to stay while working out of town, and he’d already booked through Expedia without a problem. He was over an hour away when he made the reservation. Nobody answered the phone because Brenda, who I believe is the owner, was asleep on the job. When he arrived, she was rude right away and asked how much he’d paid. Around 9 or 9:30 pm, she made him call Expedia, then argued with them that the amount was wrong and wanted him to pay more. She canceled his reservation, so exhausted, he ended up sleeping in his truck at a gas station. I called Brenda to hear her side, and she yelled at me immediately and hung up. Please don’t waste your time here. I’ll tell the hundreds and hundreds of men working out there to avoid it. She doesn’t deserve business, and she’s a disgrace to hotels and what they should stand for. Lady, take it up with Expedia next time instead of treating your only customers badly. You’re pathetic.

The room smelled like a skunk or a dead animal, and it was dirty. The bedding looked like it hadn’t been washed. We weren’t welcomed at check-in, and the hospitality was horrible all the way through check-out. Worst place to stay. Don’t waste your money. Never again!
