Hotel Indigo Silverthorne by IHG

It's a clean, modern hotel with friendly staff, close to bus stations, food, and shopping. There's no free breakfast, but they have a reasonably priced grab-and-go section. No hot tub or sauna either, though they were reimbursing guests for visits to the nearby rec center.

The room was comfortable, and we liked the bathroom soaps and lotions. The towels and sheets were clean. We stayed for a weekend with my husband, and the hotel was clean and conveniently located for the places we wanted to see in Silverthorne. A few amenity issues: the pool wasn't heated, and the in-room LED TVs wouldn't connect to the internet, so streaming wasn't possible. The TVs could connect to a device by Bluetooth, but that also needed internet. I tried to troubleshoot with the staff, who kept saying they were trying to get new TVs. Parking is included in the “Destination Fee,” but the garage is public, unsecured, and has no spots reserved for hotel guests. When we returned around 6 on Saturday evening, it was completely full and unmonitored, with a long line, so we had to park across the street.

A really convenient location, great rooms and interior design, and phenomenal prices. The staff are super nice, too. They offer s’mores between 5 and 7 p.m. They really look after their guests here.

The beds were luxuriously comfortable, the decor was modern, and the bathroom was spotless. We got a room with a bathtub, which was perfect for bathing the young kids. The lights could be brighter, though. It felt like they were aiming for a certain mood, but some of us can't see well in the dark. We stayed one night at the end of December while the kids attended ski school at Loveland Ski mountain. The pool heater wasn't working, so we missed out on swimming. Free s'mores were available, and my child really enjoyed roasting marshmallows outside at the front. We couldn't get into the fully booked lobby restaurant as walk-ins, so we went down a few steps to the big food hall nearby. The food there didn't impress me. The hotel doesn't offer free breakfast. Our booking was covered by credit card points, but if I'd known breakfast wasn't included, I'd have booked somewhere else. We had a lovely stay, but if I were paying, I'd choose a hotel with free breakfast.
