Comfort Inn & Suites Diamondale – Lansing

I got in at 2:30 in the morning on 5/30/26 and was welcomed and looked after really well. The man at the counter was professional and took great care of me. My room was comfortable, and the bed was one of the best I've slept in at a hotel. Thanks for the fantastic service.

There was trash piled near the elevator and in the laundry room, which had no change machine or card payment option. I asked the front desk for quarters and was told they had none while the employee kept talking on his phone. In my room, the closet door wouldn't stay shut and the heater kept running until I unplugged it. The room looked clean at first, but I found a french fry with ketchup under the bed. The bathroom smelled like pee if I closed the door, the shower curtain was dark yellow along the bottom, and the area behind the toilet looked like it had never been cleaned. So much pee. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We stayed here because it was close to Mt.Hope church. Getting on and off the freeway was easy, the staff were great, and the jacuzzi room was wonderful.

Every room they showed us had so much BLACK MOLD that my family couldn't even enter most of them. This place needs to be shut down until it's fully cleared and properly reinspected. I contacted the hotel directly, but still haven't gotten a resolution, so I'll be filing with the BBB and the local Health Department for additional inspections.
