Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lansing-Dimondale

The weather was awful for driving, but I went anyway, and the staff were so sweet. I made a last-minute booking for New Year's Eve on December 30th because I wanted to swim and get warm. My old farmhouse is drafty. I thought I was talking to the hotel, but it turned out to be priceline. The guy said only three rooms were left and offered me the best price, so I booked. When I arrived, there were only a handful of cars in the lot, so it didn't look nearly full. I later realized I'd paid a third more than if I'd called the hotel. Manager Leah was kind enough to upgrade me to a whirlpool suite at no extra charge. I got to use the pool, which was very quiet, then had a wonderful soak in the whirlpool in my room. Josh, who was at the desk until 11 p.m., and all the other staff were terrific. I'll definitely go back. Thank you so much.

Spent two nights here and had a good stay. The pool and exercise room are beautiful, and the staff were AMAZING. Jada and Anna were especially AWESOME. Thank you!

The breakfast was mediocre at best and stayed the same all three days. Housekeeping only made the bed and changed the towels, and sometimes even missed leaving two towels and a bath mat. The four individually wrapped drinking cups were never replenished when we ran out. My vacation stay was a huge disappointment. This is the last time I'll stay at a Holiday Inn.

There's food right down the street, with plenty more options within 15 minutes. Firehouse subs delivered in about 20 minutes, Red Robin was 10min away, and Phillips Cider, with its great pickle pizza, was 15min away. I found this place by chance earlier this year and keep returning when I'm in Lansing for business. The staff is incredible. At breakfast, a lovely woman wipes each table within about 30 seconds of a guest leaving and knows how to fix the coffee machine when it acts up. The desk staff are great too. The guy who usually checks us in handles our odd requests, and the gal with purple hair is eager to help with whatever comes up in the lobby, or just offer a cheerful “good morning, have a great day.” The younger guy with headphones, who seems to do some kind of maintenance, helped me by the elevator last week when my arms were full. That interaction is what inspired me to write this review.
