The rooms may look nice in photos, and some remodeling seems to have been done, but this place isn't the luxury hotel its name implies. We could hear everything through the thin walls, including footsteps upstairs. There was also a connecting door to the next room with no lock on our side, which made us worry someone could come in. The area didn't feel safe to us, so we went straight back to the check-in office and canceled. The clerk was behind about an inch-and-a-half of bulletproof glass. He insisted we'd taken longer than 15 minutes, though we hadn't. When we suggested checking the cameras, he called someone and eventually reversed the cancellation and charge. I'd think twice about booking, depending on what brings you here.

The location worked for us, but the rest needs attention. There was no real blanket, just a thin sheet and an even thinner bedspread, and the pillows need replacing. The mini fridge made a noise like it was about to quit. We also had to ask for hand soap, and the toilet seat had a list telling guests not to flush.

The room was spacious and recently remodeled, and the AC and heater were quiet and worked well. Still, the mattress was left in its plastic wrap, the door was hard to shut and latch, and the bathroom could use towel bars. A fire alarm test began across the rooms at 9am with no warning and kept going for three hours. The TV lineup was ridiculous, with no news, sports, or children's channels. If street noise bothers you, ask for a room farther away from the road. Stonewood Center is about a 10-minute walk.

The renovated rooms are decent. But at 10:59 am, the owners are already at the door making sure you're getting out, unless you've paid to extend your stay.

I booked a room, but when I arrived they told me none were available and still charged my card. The Asian guy was no help, though I don't mean that in a racist way. He kept saying I hadn't been charged even while the transaction was showing on my account.
