Regency Inn & Suites

I was in town to visit a friend at the nearby hospital, and had a very good stay. The owners and staff were friendly and kind. The rooms are older, but spacious, very clean, and everything was neat and well looked after. I had a non-smoking room, and it smelled fresh. They even added some thoughtful touches when they cleaned the room. Thank you.

The front office staff were friendly and got me checked in quickly. I put down my card for the deposit and got a room key. The room turned out to be huge, almost studio-sized, and quiet, with no noise from the neighbors. You can choose a smoking or non-smoking room. The furniture is dated, but there's plenty of space, and parking is plentiful. There's also a liquor store just a stone's throw away. A decent stay for the price, with excellent service from the staff.

My sister and I only needed somewhere to sleep for a couple of hours after visiting the Long Beach area. The neighborhood looked sketchy when we pulled in, and the front desk woman took a while to come out from the back, so it was a minute before we got help. Check-in itself was easy, though. The room felt stuck in the 80s, with outdated furniture, a strange smell, and odd stains on the blankets. The bathroom was dirty too, with stains and hair in the tub. Then I saw a small cockroach crawl near me and freaked out. It was very late, or I would've left for another room. You get what you pay for, I guess. The service was good, but the motel needs updating and pest control.

My son and I had a nice two-night stay. We drove all the way from Sacramento for a family reunion and felt lucky to find such an affordable room.
