My daughter was set on staying here for its retro 50s feel, and we had a nice weekend there the weekend of Oct 23rd. The room was clean, the decor was great, and our mattresses and pillows were so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast looked like it had plenty to choose from, and we saw people going back for seconds, though we didn't eat because my daughter has Celeiac. The staff treated us like family and were really nice. Getting in and out is a little tricky, but the motel is on the strip. For the price, we'd happily come back to Branson and stay here again.

The beds made for a rough stay. The mattresses sagged badly in the middle, felt too soft and springy, and when one person moved, the other moved too. We didn't sleep well at all. If they replaced them, we'd stay again. It's an old motel that's been updated some, with outside doors rather than hotel hallways. The rooms were very clean, though the retro decor felt a bit subpar. Outside was clean but could use more work, and the pool looked clean and refreshing, though we didn't use it. The front desk staff were very nice. It's close to everything on the strip, but a little awkward to get in and out of. Breakfast was meant to be out by 7 or 7:30, but on all four mornings it wasn't ready before 8. We ate it the first morning in the lobby, and for a motel breakfast the gravy, biscuits, potatoes, sausage and eggs were quite good. It was super cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

The only real upside was how quiet it was, though there were just three other guests that weekend, one of Brandon's busiest. That says a lot. The front desk staff were friendly, but the place felt like a Motel 6 with a lava lamp. Cheap furniture had veneer peeling off, and the bathroom felt like a hospital, so I couldn't bring myself to shower there. Breakfast was a cart of reheated food in a tiny 4x4 foot lobby, not what I pictured. For the price, it was way too much. I'd gladly have paid twice the nightly rate for a nice hotel.

The location was handy and the people were nice. Our updated room was clean, with a retro feel, but the mattresses really need replacing. You sink into the middle and can feel the springs. We also never got fresh towels during our three days, so we had to keep using the same ones. Not ideal.

Retro decor and a lava lamp give the clean, affordable rooms some character, and the staff were friendly. We had a great stay and would recommend giving the place a try. One thing that would help in colder months is a fire pit or heater by the pool.
