Colonial Village Motel

The air conditioning worked well and the TV was nice, but the rest felt like the bare minimum. It could do in a pinch if you need somewhere in the area. The place wasn't clean, and the microwave was gross, like nobody had bothered with it. The bathrooms may be new, but they still smelled funky. The windows were nice, though there was no screen or lock. I was alone on the first floor and didn't feel safe, so I didn't sleep. When I called the front desk at 2 a.m. for the Wi-Fi password, I got yelled at. Weird.

I understood the room was being renovated, and it was spacious, but $75 wasn't worth it. I stayed just one night. If I could've found somewhere else that wasn't an hour's drive away, I wouldn't have stayed. A bad smell filled the room, and the bathroom was even worse. There were fly-like bugs when I checked in, so I bought bug spray and scented sprays to kill them and freshen the air. It didn't help: the room still reeked, and the flies were back after dinner and again when I woke up. It needs a complete remodel.

There was trash left in my room from the previous guest, and the dresser drawer fell apart. The listing says there's a coffee maker in the room, but there was none, and they don't provide anything for breakfast, not even coffee. The lighting was terrible and there weren't any outlets to charge my phone. This place is a disgrace. Don't waste your money.

We were billed for TV channels we never watched, even though the television was broken. At checkout, it was apparently too early, and the owner was furious that we'd woken him. He argued with my fiancé, then chased him out of the service station with a bat. The bathroom had blood and vomit everywhere, and we found used syringes. Good luck to anyone staying here.
