Hampton Inn Draper Salt Lake City

The birthday surprise the team arranged for my husband made the stay especially memorable. We also found the location convenient, with nearby attractions easy to reach, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everyone on staff was very friendly and ready to help. We had a wonderful time and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area. We'd love to return.

I already liked Hampton Inn, but this one went beyond what I expected. The suite was roomy, including the bathroom, and everything felt new, carefully planned, and really clean. Front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping staff were all friendly and helpful. The lobby has an open dining area plus smaller, cozy spots for private conversations. The pool and hot tub are on the small side, but both were working and inviting. Love it!

We flew in from Missouri for my brother's wedding and stayed five days in October. The staff were wonderful, and parking was easy. Every morning there was free breakfast with different foods, and the indoor pool was nice. The hot tub was extremely hot. The rooms were pristine, with squeaky-clean bathrooms. They came with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, ironing board and iron, and a coffee maker. There's also a small shop on the main floor, plus free items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and clippers if you forgot anything.

My wife and I believe we were mistreated because of our skin color. The white members of our party got excellent treatment, while we were treated like dirt. This was the worst hotel experience of our lives. Please, if you aren't white, don't stay here. I can't explain how disappointed and dejected we feel. No one deserves this, and I can't understand why people treat others this way. We had a problem with the room. The hotel said we were a no-show, then claimed we had yelled and cursed at staff, even though my wife had lost her voice and couldn't even speak. We were lied to from start to finish. I believe the room we requested was available but denied to us, and we have photos as proof. Staff also told the third-party agency that they had asked us to come back at 3 p.m., which wasn't true. The manager at the desk said we'd be refunded, another callous lie. She accused me of yelling at her staff, a classic dog whistle about people of color. When I asked for proof, she said she couldn't provide any. The staff were rude, sarcastic, dishonest, and two-faced. It didn't matter that I speak well, that I'm a doctor, or that I've served the United States of America for 14 years. My wife's autoimmune condition didn't matter, and neither did our call to corporate. They didn't care that we'd spent tens of thousands of dollars at Hilton hotels, stayed at this exact hotel before, or that my wife works to support first responders across the entire state of Utah.
