Budget Inn

We needed somewhere decent while looking at places in the area, and this worked for us. The room was comfortable and clean, and management was friendly and polite. I’d recommend it if you need a decent place for the night.

The floors were filthy. I had to use a bath towel to clean the area between the sink and bed. I was in room 147, and the remote only turned the TV on and off. It wouldn’t change channels.

The remodel is a big improvement from my last stay. The old carpet is gone, and there’s fresh paint and curtains, a new mini fridge and microwave, and high-speed internet. The beds, sheets, and blankets looked very clean. The tub is roomy, the shower is nice, and there’s a hair dryer and ironing board, though I couldn’t find an iron. I was bummed there’s no coffee pot. There’s no pool, gym, or continental breakfast, but you can buy drinks and things at the front desk, and laundry facilities are available. Nearby are gas stations, convenience stores, a grocery store, Sonic, McDonald's, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, a Mexican restaurant, Subway, and a bank. It’s a huge step up from before.

I could barely sleep in the smoking room because the smell was unbearable and suffocating. I hadn’t been asked what kind of room I wanted, even though they had smoking rooms, and the card machine was down. When I went back to the desk, nobody was there. During the night I found bugs; the towel was tiny and stained, there was no soap, the blanket was very thin, and the bed didn’t look clean. Staff were rude. Room service banged hard on my door, then asked if I needed anything. I requested a fresh towel, but it took hours to arrive. They were rude at checkout too. Worst hotel experience I’ve had.
