The Inn at Dresden

A peaceful weekend spot with a beautiful view of nature. We stayed in the Wild's room, where the bed was super comfortable and everything was very clean. I especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The owner was friendly and lovely to chat with, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. I hadn’t stayed somewhere with such personal service before, which is one of the benefits of a little inn like this. Also, the dog was so cute and polite, 15/10, very good boy!

The view was breathtaking, and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, and the owner was wonderful. The drive up to the Inn felt a little scary, but we made it.

Joy was such a wonderful host and incredibly helpful. My wife and I stayed in the city lights room, and the view was incredible, including during breakfast. The room was exceptional, with a private patio, lots of space, a jacuzzi tub, and a beautiful bathroom. Joy’s breakfast was 10/10, especially the French toast and eggs, which tasted like fine dining. It was a wonderful stay, and we’ll make this a regular escape together. I wish I could give it more than five stars. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

The rooms have lots of wooden trim and were clean and well kept. Joy leaves her cell number in case you need something. She shows you around on the way to your room and shares interesting stories about previous owners. The mansion is a quiet little B&B, though the drive up the hill to the entrance is very steep, like the mountains of Tennessee. In the guest area, Joy greets you and is upbeat and happy, with a personal way of running the place that we in the U.S. aren’t really used to. She makes the food herself and is an excellent cook. Before preparing it, she checks that you like her selection, then checks back a couple of times after serving. She makes breakfast and supper, though I’m not sure about lunch. She asks when you’d like to eat, so you can plan around your own schedule. If you ask, she’ll also tell you how she and her now-deceased husband came from Washington DC to Ohio to buy the place. It was a very relaxing, positive experience.
