The Liney Moon

The cottages had plenty of room and modern amenities, with hot water, though for a stay longer than a weekend, one or two towels per cottage probably means you’ll need to do laundry. The chapel was cool, and it was easy to walk around within The Liney Moon. The pool was a good size, and the outdoor seating made it easy for people to move around and mingle. The rooms were quality, and the property had enough space to accommodate the event. A couple of things caught me off guard: there was no hot tub available, which I would have expected at this type of property, and no firewood was provided, so you have to find your own. It’s also quite far from downtown Austin, so be ready to drive if you want to visit. The location feels isolated, in both a good and bad way.

My husband and I got married at The Liney Moon, and we feel so lucky to have found it. Having our family and closest friends stay right on the property made the whole experience even more special. The cabins and main house were all beautifully kept. Seeing the place in photos is one thing, but being there in person is something you won’t forget.

For our company retreat, The Liney Moon was just right. Dillon handled our booking and was extremely responsive, answering all our questions about the property and the area. We loved gathering in The Stellar House, on the back patio, by the pool, and around the fire pit for meetings and team activities, including an outdoor movie night. The Horseshoe Cottages and Triplet houses were adorable and roomy, so everyone had space of their own.

We held my father's Celebration of Life here, and it was a wonderful place for the family to come together and spend time with each other. The chapel looked amazing at sunset. The host was incredibly accommodating, the property was very clean, and there was plenty of room for an event like ours. Check-in was easy, and everything was set up for people of all ages. I especially appreciated how thoughtfully it was laid out. The pool is higher up, fenced, and locked with a code, which meant we didn’t have to worry about the little ones falling in by accident. I highly recommend it for any kind of event.
