DuBois Manor Motel

After a long late-night drive with my family, we arrived to learn that the room we'd booked and paid for wasn't available. A woman at the desk mentioned there had been a no-show and offered that room, but the male owner refused at first. He eventually agreed after I explained how far we'd traveled, then kept making rude remarks during check-in and seemed to be trying to drive us away. We finally told him it was clear we weren't wanted and left. Finding another room cost us four times as much, and after the trip the owner denied our refund request through Expedia. It felt like we'd been robbed. We were in town for Groundhog Day, and had booked at the last minute; everything about this experience was terrible. I've never left a negative review before, but families planning a weekend here should know what happened. Please pay attention to the reviews and don't stay here.
