The rate change caused by adding a night to my Expedia booking was frustrating. I’d reserved several months ahead, called a week before the visit to extend my stay, and just wanted help keeping the rate I’d originally booked. The manager wouldn’t help or suggest a reasonable fix. That conversation felt rigid, and a more customer-focused response could have made a real difference. The staff at the desk and café were what made this stay work. Tracy and Emily were welcoming, professional, kind, and good at finding solutions. The café team got up before sunrise for the Groundhog folks leaving early, then served breakfast again when we came back cold, tired, and hungry. Their thoughtfulness and flexibility stood out. The nightly cookies were great, the little groundhog soaps were adorable, and the decorations made things fun and festive. The front desk and café teams carried the experience with their care. With better management support on booking problems, this could easily be a five-star stay.

We stopped here twice while traveling to and from my husband's parents for the holidays, and slept through the night both times, which we rarely manage at hotels. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was AMAZING, properly seasoned, and tasted like diner food. I didn't get photos, so you'll have to take my word that it was really, really good. The fresh-ground coffee machines and the best hotel coffee bar I've seen were another highlight. There’s also a spotless hot tub and a rinse-off shower by the pool. This is going to be our regular stop on those family trips. We'd recommend it 10000%!

This may be the best hotel we've stayed in. It was spotless, and you could smell how clean it was as soon as you walked in. The front desk clerk, Krystal I believe, was so sweet and personable. Our room was roomy, and both the pool and hot tub were spotless too. We were really happy with the stay and will definitely come back.

The friendly, professional, capable employees serving breakfast made a great last impression. It started with excellent service and clean rooms when I arrived. Thanks for making my travels more memorable!

We had a rough day with a little car trouble, but the people who welcomed us at Holiday Inn were kind and understanding. Everyone we met, from the breakfast and housekeeping crews to the others around the hotel, greeted us with smiles and a kind word. People all over Dubois were welcoming, and we'd love to come back. The downtown area is super cute. If we return, this Holiday Inn will be our first choice.
