Stagecoach Inn & Suites

The bathroom was clean, which matters to me, and the inn is right in the center of town, so you can walk wherever you need to go. We had a great stay. Check-in ran a little late, but the staff were very nice about it. The room was more than adequate. The AC worked, mostly, though it could’ve been better.

The location worked well, and it was great to park close to the room. The beds were comfortable, but the price felt high for what you get. We needed help with the thermostat, and the hair dryer kept cutting out after a minute, then working again. No one was in the office until 10 am. Dubois is a cute little town, but I wouldn’t stay overnight here again.

The building and rooms are old and dated, so we were unsure at first, but our room turned out to be clean and comfortable. We stopped at the last minute, and the desk staff were kind and quick about finding us a room for the night. I’m particular about hotel rooms, and I’d stay here again. Dubois is adorable, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The location was probably the best part. The room was disgusting: dirt all over the carpet when we walked in, black grime on the toilet with urine stains around the base, and hair throughout the shower. I tried the hot tub too, but its main jets weren’t working, which was disappointing. We couldn’t stay the night. When I told the front desk we were leaving, he seemed smug about it. I’ve been a housekeeper for six years, and the room and service didn’t deserve even one star. I won’t return or recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area.
