The location is hard to beat for an event at the convention center or Arena, with the shortest walk possible. My room was spacious and very clean, with fresh towels, a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. The king room had a sofa bed and still plenty of open space, and the shower was wide and roomy enough to accommodate a walker or wheelchair. The hotel is dog-friendly, which was a big plus. Breakfast was a $4.99 buffet, and dinner was ordered by item from a simple menu of burgers, chicken tenders, and salads. There’s also a gym, lounge, and pool, though I didn’t use them. My concern was access and safety. One of the two elevators was out of order, and construction tape blocked the stairwell. When I asked, the friendly front desk clerk said she would open the stairs in case of fire. I pointed out that guests wouldn’t know when they were open, and she said she’d run up to let us know. That didn’t sound realistic and could waste critical time in an emergency. The limited elevator access also meant longer waits. It was a clean, comfortable stay in an unbeatable location, but the elevator and stair access issues need to be addressed for guest safety. That’s the only reason I’m giving it four stars. Fix those issues and it would have been a five star review.

The hotel itself is okay, and the rooms are clean enough, about what I’d expect from most Holiday Inns. Breakfast was horrible, though. One morning we were told to wait to be seated. The next, one woman said to wait, then another said we could sit anywhere and she’d come over. It was very disorganized, the buffet was nearly out of food, and the regular coffee never seemed ready. We got tired of waiting and left to eat somewhere else.

We asked for a room change because my girlfriend has sensitive allergies, and they switched us with no trouble. Breakfast was great, and my server Lisa was so friendly and nice, she made my day. I’d definitely recommend this place if you have a pet or want somewhere nice to stay for a week.

A gold star for this stay! Parking for our box truck was excellent, and the room was clean with a great bed and pillows. The water was hot, and the pressure was great on the sixth floor, especially from the shower head. Breakfast was well worth the $4.99. There were fresh scrambled eggs, thicker bacon than at other places, turkey sausage links in either flavor, fresh fruit, and Oikos yogurt. Everything went well together.

We’ve stayed here twice to watch Atlanta Vibe since we’re from out of town. It’s a great location, easy to walk to the arena. The bar is decent and the bartender was friendly. Breakfast wasn’t the best for the extra cost, so we stopped at a local breakfast place on our way out. We’ll keep coming back to watch women’s sports 🏐
