I've had trouble connecting to the internet, but it isn't a big deal to me, since I can use my phone's Hotspot. The TV works, HBO gives me something good to watch, and the elevators, free washers and dryers, and clean fitness area have all been working well. The parking lot is usually clean and clear, though people who smoke gather along the side of the building, which might bother you if you don't like seeing that. The shower gets so hot it could burn your butt cheeks 😅. The rooms are super clean, and I haven't seen a roach like some comments claim. Staff are friendly and attentive. Ms. Priyanka has helped me more than anyone else and always goes out of her way to make sure I have what I need in the room. I think people complaining are entitled and just feel they should get their way. My lady and pup have never had any problems here. This is my go-to hotel and an honest 10/10 for an affordable price, nice location, and clean room. Thanks, sonesta simply, for making every stay worthwhile. I don't know the other staff members' names yet, but they're nice too. Hope this helps the next guest choose!

I stayed from Dec 17-jan 19 for safety from bad family members and still have two weeks left. I needed hot water for a bath because of chronic pain and limited mobility, but the hotel never resolved it. Management was unavailable, and the front desk was dismissive when I asked for reasonable solutions. A maintenance man and one of the maids helped me move out of their own accord, apart from management and guest services. God bless them. I love that maintenance man and wanted to hug him after how much he did for me; I managed an air hug as he was heading out the door. I forgot to ask his name. One guy whose name I don't know helped carry a package, and one woman was always nice and knew me without needing to see my ID. I'm grateful for a hot shower in the new room, though I have to kind of lie on its floor to use it. The carpets feel concerning to walk on barefoot, though maybe all hotels have nasty rugs. I doubt there is a rug washing standard, but let's hope so. I found a live roach once after leaving my original room, sorry bug, you're in heaven now. The provided pots and pans stick and burn everything, so don't make pudding in them, just bring your own cookware. On New Year's Eve, I was told the gazebo was shut down but that I wouldn't be stopped from going out there. There were no chairs or tables, and I can't sit in one anyway, so I sat on the ground with a pillow. The place feels dirty, though that's not the maids' fault. Other younger staff were dismissive and seemed like they didn't like me, so I try to stay in my room and avoid them. Things aren't checked before you get in. Even the can opener has a 50/50 chance of being broken. I'm still here a couple of weeks as I leave this review, so hopefully I don't get shit on for it too badly.

This is a good place to relax or stay part time. Priyanka Patel, in guest services and customer service, is professional, kind, and works with you. The cleaning ladies and maintenance staff are professional too, and go out of their way to take care of what you need. If you're looking for a comfortable, safe place with good quality, Sonesta Simply Suites Duluth is the place for you.

We left without staying, but they still refused to refund us. The place looked filthy inside and out: dirty carpet, both windows unlocked, and a room door that looked like it had recently been kicked in. There was a baby screaming down the hall and what looked like black mold on one wall. I half expected to find a chalk outline. I can't understand how this place has a 4.0 rating. Stay far away.
