Best Western Plus Yacht Harbor Inn

The spacious, clean rooms had great views, and the hotel sits right on the harbor. We had good service at the waterfront restaurant attached to it, and breakfast had all the essentials: fruit, pastries, a waffle iron, eggs, and bacon. The breakfast attendant was very friendly, though the buffet area is small. We hit a snag checking in with a Best Western gift card. The first person couldn’t sort it out, but Brandon at the front desk got us into our room while he worked through the issue on his end.

The heated pool was a highlight, and we loved the place overall. It’s right on the water and on Main Street, and the room service was great. There were plenty of choices at the free breakfast. I took off a star because I think the jacuzzi is made of fiberglass, and we could feel it against our legs. Another guest warned us, so we sat on towels after that. We still had a very enjoyable stay.

I ended up staying until Saturday morning after arriving with plans to have an early lunch and then drive back to Atlanta. I’d come to visit family nearby, had some extra time, and was considering Dunedin for retirement, so I drove around first. A local pointed me to Old Bay Cafe for lunch by the water. It was cold and windy that Monday, so I sat inside, enjoyed the view, some fantastic food, and a few cocktails. By then I didn’t feel up to driving, especially all the way to Atlanta. I noticed the quaint two-story hotel next door and asked about a room for the night. They had one available, and I booked two nights since I could take a few days off work. By Tuesday evening I was hooked and kept extending my stay. It was nice to remain in the same room. The room was clean and comfortable, with views of the bay from two sides. A back door opens onto a breezeway where you can sit and take in the view. The staff were super friendly and the service was amazing. Being right in the heart of Downtown Dunedin is another big plus. It was a fantastic trip, with a beautiful hotel, lovely staff, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Rhonda was compassionate and incredibly helpful when I had to change my reservation because of unexpected circumstances. She helped me work through the situation. The hotel is beautiful, and I’ll definitely return.
