We stumbled across Mountain Inn and Suites in Dunlap, Tn. while looking for somewhere to stay without much of a plan, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and both the building and our room were very clean. It also felt very secure. Highly recommended.

That king size bed was as comfy as can be, and the room was nice and clean with plenty of supplies. The rooms look better than the pictures online, and the staff are amazing. It's also the 2nd cheapest place in Dunlap. If you're passing through and need a rest, this is the place. I loved staying here and will definitely book again if I come back to Dunlap. 5/5.

The room was $106 a night before taxes, and with the pet fee we paid $1098 for the week. We paid $250 for the first week so our dog could stay, then another $250 for the second week. Even so, the man in the front office told me that while I was at work, he would enter the room while my wife and son were sleeping to check for damage from the dog. One night when I got back from work, I let him in and he searched the entire room. I thought that was weird but let it go. A few days later he kept calling, saying he needed to get into my room again. Another day, while I was at work, my wife was heading out to get food and our dog started barking. He ran out toward my wife's car and told her she had to take the dog out because it wasn't allowed to stay there since it was barking. The people running this hotel are weird and creepy, and they invade your privacy. If you have a pet, I honestly suggest staying far away from here. I told the guy I would leave Friday, but the room was paid through Sunday. Friday morning he knocked and said I had to be out before 11. When I refused, he called the cops, and they came to the door and kicked me, my wife, and my son out. Never again. Edit: this dude just called my phone to threaten that he would call my company and tell them about a police report he made on me if I didn't delete this review.

The room was very clean during our 4-day stay, and we had free hot breakfast at the diner each morning. I'll stay here again when I visit family!

The breakfast next door at the local diner/restaurant was okay, not bad but not great. I had two eggs over medium, cooked well, a smallish piece of bacon, and a biscuit that didn't do much for me. I kind of regret not getting toast. The wait was a bit long when I was eager to get back to the yard sales, though I'd eat there again if I had more time and wasn't in a hurry. The place itself was spotless, even the parking lot. I stayed on 8/6 while traveling solo for the Longest Yard Sale (LYS), with a car full of treasures, and felt very safe. I was outside after dark organizing my finds, and the area was well-lit. The family who owns and runs the inn was around; their child was playing soccer nearby, which gave it a welcoming, wholesome feel. You can tell they take real pride in the work and care about what they've built here in America. My room was immaculate, the bed super comfortable, and the pillows, linens, and towels were excellent. The large mini-fridge worked perfectly, and the freezer compartment refroze my blue ice blocks for my cooler, a huge plus on a road trip. None of the other hotels I stayed at would freeze them. I booked through a 3rd-party site for around $155 for a Thursday night, and I think the quality and peace of mind were well worth it. Of the three hotels I stayed at during my LYS run, this was by far the best. I've stayed in 4- and 5-star hotels in NYC, Atlanta, and Chicago, and this little roadside inn in Dunlap, TN beats them all for cleanliness. I highly recommend it to fellow junkers, road-trippers, or anyone who appreciates a clean, safe, well-managed stay. I'll definitely be back!
