The beds were comfortable enough that everyone slept soundly, and the fresh food at breakfast was delicious. The gentleman in the dining area was especially kind and made my 2 year old feel welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was: I walked around barefoot and my feet stayed clean, which is rare even at very good hotels. Finding the place took some effort since it’s in an industrial area just off a main road, but the service was outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’ll come back when we’re in the Scranton area.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but I didn’t think this privately owned hotel was worth the price. The heater was broken, and an employee got it working after fiddling with it, though it couldn’t then be turned off. The bath drain stopper also didn’t work, and the elevators were dirty. The pool itself was clean, but there was so much bleach or chlorine that our shirts came out two shades lighter. The online ad called the hotel family friendly, yet some hallway smells made me question that. I’ll stay somewhere else when I drive through this part of the state.

The people working here were welcoming and very friendly. The gentleman serving breakfast was especially good with his service. The room was another story: it smelled unpleasant and had food debris on the surfaces and floor, stains from food and drinks on the walls, and a very dirty bathroom door. There was mold on the bathroom wall and inside the shower, plus peeling ceiling paint. One mattress even had a hole in it, so lying down meant ending up on the boxspring. Better cleaning and upkeep would make a real difference.

We had to stay here for 3 days because our apartment flooded, and the staff were so friendly and kind to me and my two autistic boys. During the stay, my son lost his stuffed animal curious George, which he’d had for 12 years. He’s autistic and heartbroken about it. We were in room 115 the first night, then 225 for the next two. I’ve called several times, but they say they can’t find it. If anyone who works there sees this, please keep an eye out for the toy. The front desk has my phone number.
