Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter by Marriott

The free ride to a nearby store was a nice touch, and the location is really convenient. I had a suite that was clean and spacious, and I liked the lobby and bar. Yoshane at the front desk gave me great service. I had a wonderful stay at Atlanta Le Meridien Perimeter and will definitely come back.

The room was clean and well looked after, and the staff were friendly and fairly responsive. Still, the hotel feels dated and wasn't as nice as I'd expect from Le Meridian. Room service was such a mess it was almost funny: the woman came back four times, once because she had forgotten the silverware, and she'd already left before I noticed. She seemed to have had no customer service training at all. I was there for work, with my clients' offices right next door, so staying here made sense. The mall across the street is good, with major and upscale brands if you enjoy shopping, but I wouldn't make a special trip to stay at the hotel. There are too many other good options.

I found the convention food rules really off-putting. In certain first-floor areas, attendees aren't allowed to bring in outside food or drinks, so the hotel expects you to buy theirs. But there often wasn't anyone behind the bar to take an order. I waited 15 minutes, then ordered through DoorDash and had to eat in a designated area. The food service also doesn't cover all the convention hours. I've never been to a convention where I couldn't bring coffee or food into the convention space, or even the lobby. The hotel and its service were otherwise fine.

Portico Restaurant was a highlight for me. The food was fantastic and better than I expected, and the Illy coffee bar in the lobby was much appreciated by this caffeine addict. Even the Illy machine in my room was a welcome surprise. I found the hotel stylish but relaxed, with a modern look that doesn't try too hard. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well kept, just what I wanted after a long day. The customer service stood out throughout my stay, too. Every employee I spoke with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I'd gladly stay at Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter again and recommend it for the comfort, service, and laid-back atmosphere.
