Best Western Plus Rio Grande Inn

Jess made a great impression from the start. She handled check-in, offered useful local suggestions, and made sure my room was right. Her friendly, professional service was a highlight during my stay at Best Western Plus Rio Grande Inn for the Outdoor Media Summit. The room was spacious, spotless, and had everything I needed after full days of sessions. The bed was very comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made for restful sleep. Breakfast was well stocked, and the staff were attentive without hovering. The hotel's location is ideal, close to downtown Durango, restaurants, coffee spots, and the local atmosphere. I was impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service, and would wholeheartedly recommend it for an event or a visit to the area. I'll stay again next time I'm in town.

The breakfast attendant was excellent, keeping things clean and stocked. He also handled happy hour and kindly made us nonalcoholic drinks since we don't drink. The last morning, a different man and woman were on duty, and they seemed not to care. The food was cold, almost everything was gone, and we had to ask for missing items. We stayed inside by the pool. Kids screaming made it noisy, though I didn't notice the chlorine smell some people mentioned. I did smell it while eating breakfast, since the breakfast room is right next to the pool. The room has French doors to the room and balcony, a neat feature, but the blinds were worn along the sides and let people see in. The bathroom was small and the TV had limited channels. They charged a $25 fee because I booked through Booking and said I'd get it back. I better. Why charge it in the first place?

We came to Durango to relax and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel offered free breakfast, a good-sized swimming pool, and a jacuzzi pool. Our room had a large fridge and a microwave, and the place was very close to the downtown strip. You'll really like it, trust me. Until then, much love and God bless.

We chose this place because it was close to the train station and all our friends were staying there too. The rooms turned out to be great, and the front desk staff were friendly. We came for the Polar Express train. The weather was nice, though I would've liked more snow for the ambience. On the other hand, not having snow meant we didn't have to drive in it. The pool is nice, and lots of places are within walking distance, not just the station.
