We picked this place because it's only 25 miles from reelfoot state park, and it was well worth it. The town has lots of places to eat, too. Our room was wonderful and really clean, and the whole place was quiet and tidy. The indoor pool was relaxing, with towels there for guests to use. Breakfast was included and had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, juice, and coffee. The front desk staff were informative, and there's a computer guests can use for maps or whatever they need.

The breakfast smelled and tasted great, and the hotel was easy to get to right off the interstate. The rooms were clean and smelled fine, though some maintenance issues showed. The shower handle was unreliable, so adjusting the temperature was hard, and the water pressure was very weak. There was no bath gel in the soap dispenser. The curved shower curtain rod was installed at the wrong angle, so the curtain kept sliding toward the middle, and it was mounted so close to the wall that the curve didn't give any extra room. The window curtains also weren't wide enough to cover the window, leaving a gap however I tried to pull them across. Before booking, I called to check that the guest office worked and was assured it did. I asked again at check-in and got the same answer. But two hours later, when I needed to print work permits, the printer had no ink or replacement cartridge, and no one knew where to find one or how to install it. The staff were very friendly, but they dropped the ball. A nearby hotel let me use its office even though I wasn't staying there. All those little problems piled up and ruined the stay.

We had two rooms, and the water situation was awful. One had no hot water, while the shower in the other was painfully hot with no cold water. They apparently got a new boiler, but we'd had the same problems before it was replaced.

Addison at the desk was dyn-o-mite, and the rest of the staff were as nice as could be. Good food, no issue with my 40 lbs. Service dog, and I had my trailer with me, NP. I spend two days here when I visit poplar bluff 4-5 times a year, as I've been doing for over 20 yrs. I hate how hotels there are overpriced, so staying over here is great and worth going a little out of the way. The beds could be newer, but they're improving. It's an older place that's coming up to speed with the others around it. Great value. Stay away, so I always have a room ...lol

For $153+ this kind of hotel is incredibly expensive, though the room was clean, spacious, bug-free, and felt safe. I stayed 9-22-25 in rm 115. The king bed was very firm, the pillows decent, and the TV had a decent size and channel selection. WiFi was spotty, and the bathroom sink didn't drain well. It was an okay stay, just not worth that price, even if the pool had been running. I wouldn't come back if I had a better town to stay in.
