The main floor was under construction, but that doesn’t explain why the rest of the hotel felt dingy and dirty. My bathroom door was visibly dirty, and there was dirt on the shower walls. There was no hairdryer and nowhere to buy even water. With so many places near the airport, I won’t return, which is a shame because Holiday Inn is usually a safe bet.

Donna, our waitress, was a gem, and the cook also asked how our meal was. Those two ladies were a bright spot in our stay. The rest was rough: construction plastic greeted us at the entrance, and we were told at check-in there was no hot water. After a long day of travel and flight delays in Orlando, we were exhausted and stayed just for the bed, but it was worn out too. The next morning we asked about the complimentary breakfast and were first told there wasn’t one, though the person checking us out then said my husband’s Diamond elite status did include it. We’re Diamond elite guests, and the condition of the motel, construction, lack of hot water, and worn bed were disappointing.

The premium room was spacious and clean, but its decor, carpet, and bathroom all felt old. The property is under construction, with no fitness center, pool, or breakfast. Staff weren’t helpful, and there’s no online check-in or mobile key, which is a hassle when nobody is at the front desk.

The evening staff were great, but I couldn’t find anyone when I went to check out in the morning. I think I saw staff outside chatting and smoking, and no one acknowledged me. My bed was visibly old and lumpy as soon as I entered the room, and the worn, dipped mattress kept me tossing and turning all night. I don’t plan to stay here again.
