The facilities were clean, the room was comfortable, and the property and location were very nice. The service felt artificial, though. Staff were polite but let me down on simple requests. I called around midday about arriving late and asked whether housekeeping could prepare the fold-out sofa bed for my son, so we wouldn’t have to do it close to midnight. They said housekeeping had already left for the day. At late check-in, I asked for a second complimentary bottle of water since there were two of us, but was told they only give one. I’ve been a Marriott guest for decades and have Silver Elite status, but apparently that loyalty isn’t worth the extra 30 cents for purified water. The service needs to match the facilities.

This was one of the quietest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, which matters a lot when I’m traveling for work. I also want to thank Terrell and the team for helping after I left my duffel bag behind. Once I made a UPS pickup and shipping label, Terrell arranged to get the bag shipped back, kept me updated on the pickup, and made sure it was packed for me. It’s hard to find good service these days. Thanks, Terrell!

The suite’s main door wouldn’t close because it didn’t fit the frame properly. There was food waste in the dishwasher, and the bathroom and sink were missing stoppers. None of the problems were fixed after I reported them. When staff came to clean, the food was still in the dishwasher. The place wasn’t clean, and I don’t recommend it given the poor attention to hygiene.

Parking now costs $5 a night, a charge that feels unnecessary for guests who’ve been loyal. Even though I stay here often and have member status, I no longer get upgrades when I use my rewards. When I raise concerns, they acknowledge them but act as though the feedback is a nuisance. I’ve been coming two or three times a year since the week the hotel opened. It used to be one of my favorites, with clean, well kept rooms and friendly, attentive staff. I had excellent service and often talked with the manager about how much my family and I enjoyed staying there. Over the past couple of years, though, the quality has clearly slipped. Rooms aren’t as clean, and maintenance seems neglected. I’ve seen broken hinges and peeling wallpaper, and upkeep no longer feels like a priority. It’s disappointing to see a place that once set such a high standard lose its touch. Unless things improve, I’m seriously considering other options for future stays.

For a fairly new hotel, I’m surprised by how little care there seems to be. Our first room had a TV that wouldn’t work, so they couldn’t fix it and moved us after we’d unpacked. The next room had a hole in the bathroom ceiling and no working heat. Customer service was horrific. Nobody seemed to care about the problems, and the place doesn’t seem to be run properly at all. This hotel needs help!
