For the price, the hotel was decent, but we had trouble because people weren’t communicating. While I was away for more than six hours, my disabled friend was kicked out of our room because someone hadn’t passed along the information. I have to stay here again since it’s the closest motel to a loved one of mine in prison, and I’ll probably be here on weekends. I just hope they can get things together.

We only booked this place because a softball tournament left it as the only motel with a room available. It felt overpriced, and the $50 deposit for a non-smoking room turned into a frustrating problem. The man at the desk said they’d return it if the room hadn’t been smoked in. When I checked out the next morning, nobody was at the window. A sign said to call from the phone there, but nobody answered. I saw a woman behind the desk while I went to get coffee and told her I’d left the key under the window. She didn’t say she needed to come inspect the room before the deposit could be refunded, so I thought they’d clean it and put the money back on my debit card if everything was in compliance. I called Vicki today, and she said I should have asked someone to check at checkout. Now that it’s been two days, she says she can’t prove the room wasn’t smoked in. I’ve never heard of that policy, and it isn’t written anywhere. It feels like a scam.

Our room was clean, and after staff cleaned it and realized there were four of us, they brought extra towels so we’d have enough. I really can’t complain, it was better than I expected. The key stopped working when we came back after the first day, so we had to get it rekeyed. Also, there was no Red carpet. ☹

I stayed two nights and was told breakfast would be free at 7am. Both mornings, there was nobody in the office or making breakfast at that time, and the breakfast area door was locked. I had to leave for work at 7:15am, so I missed breakfast both days. I seriously doubt anyone else ever got any after 7am either.

For $66 a night for a two bed room, this was hard to beat. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel’s a bit old, and you can see that in the bathroom, but it wasn’t bad and it was clean.
