Home2 Suites by Hilton East Haven New Haven

The hotel was spotless, and everyone we met was friendly. The housekeeping team was lovely too. At check-in, Patricia took the time to explain the amenities and was a pleasure to talk to. JD and Kayla were just as welcoming when they were working the afternoon desk. Home2 Suites is a wonderful place to stay. We’d happily come back, and I highly recommend it.

The room gave my sister and me plenty of room to cook, wrap presents, relax, and sleep during our three-day escape. We made cheese and cracker boards and overloaded potato bars, watched Hallmark Movies, shopped, swam in the snow, and had some wine. That makes two Girls Wrapping Weekends in the books at HomeToo Suites in East Haven. We arrived Saturday to a lovely snack display and a warm welcome from the staff. There was hot breakfast, a heated pool, a comfortable fitness room, laundry, and coffee all day. The hotel was decorated for the occasion, and the snow made everything prettier. They plowed, shoveled, salted, and pretreated before the snow to help keep guests safe. As always, the staff treated us like VIPS. Photos show East Haven during our stay.

We were traveling as a family of five and car trouble put us well past check-in time. The hotel reassured us that things would be fine when we got there. Gary on the night shift was kind and accommodating, answered all my questions, and helped my husband and me get our luggage to the elevator while our three toddlers slept. In the morning, Lucille went out of her way to help me organize breakfast for the kids. The hotel was impeccably clean, with no odd smells, and the room had thoughtful amenities. The beds were comfortable. Even the soap, shampoo, and conditioner smelled luxurious, and were free of parabens and harsh chemicals. Thanks for the hospitality. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip.

We stayed for a week and a half at the beginning of October 2025. My husband and I are Gold Members, and we’ll be Diamond Members next week. The staff were professional and kind, and even suggested nearby places to eat and local farms where we could take our one-year-old to play. The place felt safe, had easy parking, and was close to shops and restaurants, with easy access in and out. The building seemed practically new and was clean, and you wouldn’t guess it welcomes dogs from how it looked or smelled. Key-card access worked at several entrances, and the common areas were spacious. There was plenty of grass around both sides and behind the building, so it was easy to take our dog out wherever our room was; poo bags were provided on each side. Our room was roomy too. Even with a pack and play set up, there was still enough space to move around comfortably. One note for anyone planning to cook every day: we requested a full kitchen suite, assuming Homewood Suites and Home 2 Suites offered the same setup because both are extended-stay hotels. Home 2 Suites has a full-size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, but no stove top and oven. The front desk lent us a cook top, and there’s also a large grill out back.
