Courtyard Kingston

We were happy enough with what we got for the price that we’ve already booked another stay. The practical location helped too: Target was easy to walk to, and Kingston was a short, simple drive for restaurants and things to do. Kingston has great shops, music, and places to eat. If you’re gluten free, try Sissy's, and Le Shag is worth a visit for a cut and style. Back at the hotel, our room was spacious, newly renovated, and had a lovely view. The bathroom was nice, the bed was clean and VERY comfortable, and the business WiFi handled my Zoom call without a glitch. The pool and hot tub were clean and open, though nothing fancy. I also liked the airy, modern lobby, its dining area, and the fireplace. A friendly, polished staff member got me checked in quickly and gave me a brief orientation.

The pool was great, though the hot tub was out of order, which was a shame. I slept really well on the comfortable bed, and the pullout sofa was probably the best one I’ve ever slept on. The room was clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. There’s a decent coffee in the morning, and no free breakfast, but the cafe was pretty good and reasonably priced. The large lobby looks lovely. The shower never got hot enough. The area isn’t charming or walkable, though there’s a big Target right next door with a Starbucks, and other chain stores are a short drive away.

Ramona at the front desk made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. I really want to recognize her work and her whole vibe, we could use more people like her. The hotel itself was lovely, well maintained, and seemed to be run well. I loved my room.

I had a really pleasant stay, with just one disappointment: the hot tub was closed, though it wasn’t anyone’s fault. The desk team was warm from the start of check-in and happy to answer all our questions. Our room was perfectly clean, stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows, and the bed was super comfortable. We went for a swim after dinner. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby, along with couches and a nice fireplace, and loads of stores nearby. I’d HIGHLY recommend it to anyone needing somewhere to stay.
