The heat and hot water were lousy, and the WiFi was bad too. Maintenance seemed like the worst I've seen. Don't use the ice. This is a family-run place that has been around for over twenty years, with contributions from social services keeping this nasty hotel going. “Humpback George” was always watching. I kid you not. Only stay for a true emergency, a do-or-die situation, or a booty call, and even then bring your own plastic for the creepy crawlers. That's at your own discretion.

My daughters and I were there for just three days before we left, after getting bitten up by bed bugs. The manager didn't want to refund us when we decided to go. The refrigerator smelled awful and there were stains on the towels. Housekeeping cleaned only on a day we were out. While we were in the room, nobody asked whether we wanted it cleaned. I'm checking our things to make sure nothing's missing. I hate this f****g hotel.

On my first night, I was put in a windowless room with dirty bathrooms. The washer and dryer were on the other side of the wall and could be heard all night, and wind came through a gap between the walls and ceiling. Bottles of alcohol lit in red and blue were used as decor. It felt like a room booked by the hour, and I've never stayed anywhere so cheap. I had arrived for a business trip last year, but was told there were no rooms because I hadn't answered a call during the day. I was in meetings and didn't know that missing the call could cancel my reservation. The manager moved me to a more decent room on the second night, but by then the damage was done. I won't return when I'm back in the area for business this year, and hope others reconsider too.

Cockroaches were all over the room within five minutes of our arrival, and there were prostitutes turning tricks and drug deals in the parking lot. We were in an emergency and needed a nearby hotel, so we drove by and got two rooms. After about ten minutes of seeing what was going on, we called around and found somewhere else. The clerk said he had to “look the room over,” then kept $20 from each room even though we'd been there only 17 minutes. He was nice, but losing $40 over those seven minutes annoyed me, even after I showed him photos of the roaches. We just wanted to get out. There was blood on the walls too. Absolutely disgusting, worst hotel experience ever. If you need an economical place for the night, Bethpage hotel has been renovated and is comfortable, clean, and cheaper, even if it isn't the Waldorf Astoria.
