Fairfield Inn & Suites Peoria East

Even when the parking starts to fill, the spaces at the rear are usually open, including those by the side doors. My room was on the first floor, nearest the lobby, but I never heard enough noise to be disturbed. I think the layout helped: bathroom at the front, then couch, TV and desk, with the bed at the far end. I really liked that setup.

The neighboring rooms and hallway are a bit too easy to hear, which is the one downside. Otherwise, it was surprisingly good, clean, and well kept. I’d definitely stay here again.

On the fourth day of our six-day move from the West Coast to the East Coast, my family and I booked a night in late July of 2025. The lobby had a musty smell when we arrived, but the welcoming staff gave us hope. That changed as soon as we entered the room. It smelled even mustier, with visible mold on the walls and ceiling, damp bedding, and a sub par that had been left off, letting the room heat into the 90 degree range. I was already unwell, and going into the room immediately made me feel worse. The staff were helpful and apologetic, and let us check three other rooms, but they were in similar condition. There must have been ways to prevent that much mold from accumulating. I’ve never written a bad review or had an unpleasant stay at a Marriott before, but this one was absolutely terrible. If you don’t want to become sick from mold, I’d avoid this Peoria hotel. We ended up spending the night at the nearby Embassy Suites.

After two stays, Fairfield has been a great experience. Check-in was quick and friendly, and the halls were quiet. Breakfast was good and free, with eggs, bacon, delicious muffins, juice, yogurt, and waffles you make yourself. Target and other local businesses and restaurants are within a mile.
