The steak and seafood place across from the casino was the highlight for us. The steak was the best I’ve had, and the salmon was tender and flaky. It seemed a little expensive, but the food was worth it, and service was good there and in the casino. We’ve stayed at the hotel before and liked it. This time it was booked, but we’ve had fun playing cards and slots, and we enjoy the hourly drawings on certain nights.

We had booked a month ahead and were told our room would have two beds. The first room we were sent to hadn’t been cleaned or made up, so we returned to the desk. Next they gave us a king suite with a dirty bathroom. It was otherwise okay, but there were four of us and we still needed two beds, which meant another trip to the front desk. The clerk’s badge was turned backward, and when I asked her name she said I couldn’t have it. She couldn’t reach the manager by phone, then called security as the next person up. He was kind and helpful, though she was rude to him and called me rude too, saying it was on recording. I’m glad it was recorded, and I hope they contact me about what happened. This was the worst casino and hotel experience I’ve had. None of us will go back, and we’ll tell our friends how terrible it was.

We drove more than an hour to spend my birthday weekend with friends, and the host treated us horribly. There was no respect, and they didn’t understand what services we’d booked. We’d reserved a two-bed room over a month earlier, but the room we checked into looked ransacked. For the second room, we’d requested two beds and got a king suite with a filthy toilet instead. What an awful experience. I absolutely would not recommend it. The customer service was terrible.

We paid under $100 for the night, which felt like a good price. The hotel is old and you can tell, but the room was clean, the linens were good, and the bed was comfortable. Diane and I ate at the sports bar in the Casino and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The burgers were very good, her fries were really good too, and I enjoyed my grilled vegetables, though I wished there were more of them. Prices were about average for a casino. THAT CHIKN’ PLACE was so good. The fries and chicken were hot and fresh, and the portions were big. It was pretty pricey, but I’d go back. I’d just won $103 on a $10 bet, so I was in a “why not” mood. Maybe people are willing to spend $20 on food after winning a few bucks 😂. Still, I thought it was worth it!
