Gloria made our first Cape Cod visit feel special. She asked what we enjoyed, where we hoped to go, and what food we liked, then gave us great suggestions. At breakfast we chatted about the night before and our plans, and when we mentioned we were unsure which whale watch to book, she recommended one and even reserved it for us. We had a fantastic time thanks to her thoughtfulness. The room was small but never cramped, and the comfortable bed and all those pillows made a big difference after the rock-hard mattress and single thin pillow we’d had at a motel between NY and Mass. I woke rested in a cool room with birds chirping outside. We’ll definitely return to the Beach Plum Motor Lodge.

Gloria gives you big hugs and makes you feel like family, and we’re already planning to come back to Beach Plum. The private rooms and bathrooms are adorable and comfortable, everything is clean and well cared for, and the pool was delightful. Breakfast each morning was homemade and delicious. The location is excellent, and the owner clearly takes wonderful care of the property.

The setting is lovely, with beautiful beaches and scenic spots nearby, and the lodge itself is very attractive. The pool was great, too. But the stay was uncomfortable: our room was so tiny that three people could barely move around, and the doors were loud and difficult to shut. Breakfast was a burnt piece of toast and a large slice of lemon cake, which hardly felt like breakfast. I also felt as if the owner watched my friends and me the whole time. Just so people know, there’s no fridge, A/C, or microwave.

A friendly host and a fairly inexpensive place to stay. The rooms feel a bit old-fashioned, though they’re comfortable. It’s also well placed for exploring Cape Cod in either direction.

The pool is nice, and the people are very friendly. Expect a trip back in time, though: there’s no TV or air conditioner, and the appeal is the breakfast and conversation, not luxury. If that’s what you’re after, this place fits.
