Ebro Motel

The rooms were a good size, and the place was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they made room for our small dog. We had planned on staying the whole week, but on day three we got an emergency call about a family member and had to leave early. When I returned the key, the front desk told me weekly rates aren't refundable. I wish we'd been told that beforehand. Things can come up that mean you have to leave early or stay longer, and if I'd known, I'd have paid by the day or a few days at a time. We paid $500 for three nights even though we couldn't use the rest of the week. We weren't planning to cut the trip short, but the emergency meant we had to. With at least a 10 to 12 hour drive ahead, we slept in the U-Haul to make up for the money spent on the room. I'd recommend the place, but be careful booking a weekly rate if you're unsure how long you'll need it or have family health issues that could make you leave suddenly. Money paid in advance won't be refunded.

We book here every summer, and sometimes in the off season when we're in the area for work. It's super quiet and clean, and the owner is really nice.

The bed was pretty standard, but it was clean, the linens were fresh, and even the air filter was clean. Our room also had a fridge and complimentary coffee. I was surprised by how quiet and clean the place was. I'd stayed at Beaumont in Panama City before and paid triple for a horrible experience, so Ebro Motel felt underrated by comparison. The owner was very nice and accommodated a last minute phone reservation. He also let us bring our dog. Anyone with a pet knows how hard and expensive it can be to find an inexpensive motel that accepts dogs. I'll definitely stay here many more times when we're traveling through.
