Comfort Suites Edinboro

The hotel is just off I-79, about 20 minutes from Erie, PA. It’s across from Walmart, turning toward the Sheetz. Once you find it, there’s a welcoming fireplace in the entrance, pleasant staff who seem to be responsible college students and adults, a nice hot breakfast, an indoor pool, a fitness room, and other amenities. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and everything is well maintained. I do think it’s overpriced for this area, though that doesn’t change my opinion of the hotel. Prices have gone up, and getting there needs attention: the road is falling apart and nearly hidden, with no signs showing where to turn and no streetlights to help you find the entrance. The main lawn is cut, but the landscaping areas are in rough shape, with dead shrubs, tall dead grass, and weeds. Whoever handles the grass and landscaping needs to be fired.

I stayed with my family on October 14, 2025. The room was very large, I felt safe, and the staff were helpful. Catherine, who runs breakfast, deserves a special mention. She’d only been working at this Comfort Inn for two months, but did an exceptional job. She kept the dining area clean and attractive, made tasty food, ensured there was enough for everyone, and was always polite. The parking area was clean, though the outside lighting should be improved because it looks dark and unsafe at night. The heated pool felt too cool for many people to swim in. The shower pressure was only passable, and the smaller pillows were okay but nothing special.

I came to visit my alma mater and stayed here because of the good location. The place was nice and the rooms were clean, but something is wrong with the key system. I had to move rooms three times before I finally got one where the key worked. Whenever I stepped out and came back, I needed the front desk to let me in. I was told the manager would call me, but that never happened. Do better, and refund some of the cost for all this inconvenience.

The rooms were clean, the staff pleasant, and breakfast decent. But the pool was freezing, and the room it was in wasn’t heated either. Our grandkids expected to swim during the stay, so that was very disappointing.
