Best Western Plus Edinburg Inn & Suites

The staff were great, and breakfast was delicious. Getting around can take planning, since the hotel is on a very busy street, especially on weekdays when people are heading to work and school. Check traffic or consider another route before leaving. The room had a slightly dusty smell when I arrived. The beds were very stiff, with just four small pillows per bed, though that might suit you if you like a firm bed. Wi-Fi was weak, and the shower water was warm at best, barely hot.

After living in Edinburg for 15 years and always driving past this place, I finally stayed here when I came back to pick up my truck after moving away. It was peaceful, clean, and welcoming. Some people from the Valley joke about it, but I really love it and enjoyed every second. I’ll return in the future. Until then ✌🏿

We ended our extended booking early and moved to another hotel down the street. The difference was immediate. This property needs major work on maintenance, service, and how it treats guests. We won’t come back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to families, especially those whose kids need a little patience and understanding. The breakfast situation was humiliating. I asked for two plates for my kids while we waited for my wife. One child wasn’t eating, so I was trying to encourage him. When my wife arrived and asked for a plate, the attendant challenged me about already having received one. She spoke only Spanish and wouldn’t look me in the eye, though I watched her speak normally and politely to guests who arrived after us. I’m Black and my wife is Hispanic. I don’t like making that kind of statement, but the treatment felt targeted. When I asked how much a plate cost so we could move on, she said they didn’t sell plates, but she could make an exception and give one “only this time.” It came across as condescending, like she was doing us a favor. Our youngest has autism and can have trouble sitting still. During the breakfast confusion he wandered near the automatic door, and we were actively trying to manage him. A front desk employee came over and rudely scolded us about him opening the door, with no patience or understanding. The room was no better. A note said housekeeping wouldn’t clean during our stay, supposedly so employees could spend time with family for the holidays. Towel refreshes were offered “on a few days,” which isn’t acceptable for an extended stay. The tub was visibly rusty, and the bathroom looked worn and poorly maintained.

Miros Azuara made breakfast feel like home cooking, almost like having your mom cook for you. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were helpful and kind. I’ll definitely come back.
