Robinson's Cottages

The hosts were great and happy to suggest places to see nearby. We found this a really relaxing stop during our three-week trip around Maine. It’s set among the woods beside a pond and river, with a lovely outdoor area, firepits, and historic log cabins.

We came back for a family weekend after staying one night in cabin #2 last year. Our daughters had seen the photos and chose a return trip together as their Christmas present. This time we stayed in cabin #5, and the place charmed them too. They’ve just graduated from college, and with everyone’s busy schedules, having that time together meant a lot to me. Theresa is always friendly and quick to answer booking questions. Bill lent us fishing gear we’d forgotten, and jack the dog is the best boy. We’re already looking forward to cabin #3 next time. We spent the weekend in cabin #1 and loved it. The screened porch looking over the river was our favorite place to hang out, even though it was very hot when we arrived. The windows were open and fans were going, which we appreciated, and the porch stayed comfortable. Saturday night we had a fire in the fireplace, of course. We also went kayaking and swimming, and it was nice to be able to use the canoes and kayak. The cabin was clean and comfortable, looked just like the pictures, and had everything we needed. It also felt well used and loved, with great vibes. We’ll be back!

We loved being right on the pond, and the rainy day was perfect for enjoying the woodpile and fireplace. Cabin 3 has that nostalgic, classic North Woods cabin feel. It’s definitely rustic, which suits us just fine. If we make it back to Maine from Wisconsin, we’d book here again.
