The Inn at Riverwalk

The rooms were really good, top-notch. We managed the busy location, though it can be tricky with a larger vehicle or mobility issues. There was confusion about the pricing and other details, including an amenities fee we hadn’t known about and didn’t use. A trail mix bar was supposed to be available, but it had been put away when we went to get snacks. That was disappointing, especially since it was part of the extra $30 we had to pay. Some staff were very good; others were about average.

Huge shout-out to the manager Leo & Bager. They were so fun to hang out with and talk to. Leo even came outside and went out of his way to the hot tub area to turn on the fireplace so my friend and I could enjoy the ambiance. I’d give this place a 10/10 and will be back!

My wife, toddler, dog, and I ended up staying here on a whim while visiting friends who were in the area for an extended stay. We liked the hotel so much that we stayed a day longer than planned. The condo we had was clean, spacious, and competitively priced, and there’s plenty to do within a few minutes’ walk. It was also really cool to walk straight down to the river. We had a great stay and will find reasons to return.

Off season, our rates seemed fair, and we appreciated the snack bar and $10 credit for the little shop. But our stay was only okay. We were there for knee surgery at the Vail (Edwards) Surgical Center, and with the elevator out, getting up three flights of stairs with a bad knee was no bueno. The stair layout is confusing compared with other hotels, and there’s no stair access from the lobby, so you have to go outside again. We had to navigate the hotel maze to find stair access by the parking lots, nowhere near the elevator where you’d usually expect it. The front desk girl who checked us in was slow to help us find the stairs, even though her coworker was talking about calling someone about the broken elevator. Since staff knew it wasn’t working, it would have been nice if they’d simply directed us. The broken elevator and poor communication about where to go are why I didn’t give five stars.
