The shower was the standout for us. We'd read about it, and I remembered the tub-and-shower setup from our visit about five years ago. Some rooms now have a modern, spacious shower with no big step to get in. We saw work underway in several other rooms to make the same change. We've stayed at several condo resorts in Door County over the past 30-plus years, and came back to the Newport this year after checking prices and deals. We spent three nights in early January with a two-nights-and-the-third-free offer, bringing the cost to well under $100 a night. The front desk service was exemplary, the room and dishes were clean and in good shape, and the kitchen was well stocked. We'll definitely return. Keep it up!

We could walk to the downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful harbor, and the pool and hot tub were lovely. The front desk service was exceptional, too. My sister and I had a quiet, cozy second-floor two-bedroom, two-bath condo with a small outdoor deck, table and chairs, and a fireplace. It had a full kitchen, though we didn't use it. The weather was warm, so we slept comfortably with the windows cracked. We'd definitely stay here again.

The location was great, close to everything, and we'll be back. My sister and I had a perfect stay in a two-bedroom, two-bath suite. I'd read that the place was a bit outdated, but we weren't looking for a modern room with big-city vibes. It was cozy and felt like Door County, just what we needed.

We loved the pool area, and the sauna was amazing. It was salt water, with no chlorine. The front desk staff were welcoming and kind, and the location was perfect. We could walk everywhere.

There was fresh blood on the mattress pad in our bedroom. The stain looked like menstrual blood, though honestly, blood is the point. That was the bed I paid to sleep in, not a stain on a sidewalk or hallway carpet. It's unsanitary, and what illnesses could someone get through blood? Avoid this place. Do not stay here. Blood on the bed!
