Express Inn & Suites

We were lucky to find cheaper and better accommodations, so thanks for that, Express Inn. This place gave us horrible service and treated us horribly. There are a couple of nicer places around El Campo that treat you much better. My husband is a veteran who'd been called here to work as a sports official. We booked a room and drove all night so we could rest. The owner said there was an extra deposit. My husband said okay and told him he'd go talk to me and be right back. We went to a store down the street for drinks, then returned to pay the deposit, and the owner said there were no rooms available, even though we'd made a nonrefundable reservation. He argued that my husband had left and he'd given our room away. We had a paid booking, and my husband had said he'd be right back. He went in and explained that too. We spent another hour trying to sort this out, only to hear from a representative that it was because we had my husband's 3 year old service dog, a Yorkie, with us. We never said the animal would be in the room. The owner didn't even tell us that was the issue. It seemed like he came up with a reason after we challenged him through the booking company. The owner is dishonest and a liar. Do NOT give your business to a place with no respect for Veterans or people who served our country.
