Parking costs $15 a night, which feels hard to justify in a small rural town where you can’t really walk anywhere, especially since the hotel has plenty of its own parking. The room rate is already on the high side, so I’d expect parking to be included. Otherwise, it’s a clean, well-built, well-kept place, with a good gym full of equipment and a clean hot tub. The onsite restaurant was decent, though a little pricey.

That view is absolutely breathtaking, and the service was fantastic. There’s no pool, though, and kids aren’t allowed in the hot tub, which is why I’m giving it four stars. We could bring our dog, and the hotel had free bikes for riding around the lake or into downtown. Whole Foods delivers, so we made coffee in the room and watched the sunrise from the balcony. There’s also a little fridge for snacks.

The staff were outstanding, and the service was just spectacular. It’s a small hotel with modern lines, and everything was extremely clean. The rooms were made up perfectly each day. Hotels around here tend to be expensive and old, so finding one that felt affordable, new, and so well run was a huge surprise. It had everything we needed to have a good time. Highly recommended.

The lake behind the hotel is lovely for an afternoon walk, and there are different boating activities there too. My room was pleasant, though the shower pressure was so strong it felt like sandpaper on my skin, with no way to turn it down. I also heard a strange noise from the electrical panel for the air conditioning. I called the front desk, and a repair person came up right away and fixed it in ten minutes. He was very professional. The restaurant and bar were fine for both breakfast and dinner, but the food wasn’t anything special and the prices were medium to high. The staff were caring and hardworking, which made dining enjoyable. The charming hotel is 18 minutes from Aspen. Prices are a bit high, but reasonable for the area.
