Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites El Paso Airport

Rooms were clean and the service was great. Breakfast runs from 6 to 9, but when we came down at 8, there was no cream cheese, jam, butter, or yogurt left. The pancake machine wasn’t working either. If you’re traveling with kids, you know pancakes or waffles can be the best part of the stay.

My flight got canceled, and Gianni at the front desk kindly moved me to a better room. He was very polite and helpful, and I really appreciated the great service.

I’d rate this place 2.5 stars. The customer service was straightforward and good, and there are restaurants nearby, but the room was below what I’ve had at other Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It felt like a Motel 6, and was probably the dirtiest and most outdated room I’ve stayed in. I arrived late for a one-night layover and just dealt with it, but I’m sharing what we encountered. The room had a discolored rug and smelled of old furniture with a hint of smoke. Peeling, discolored wallpaper made the place feel stuck in the 70s or 80s. The bathroom was worse, with wallpaper on the walls and even the shower and tub. I’m pretty sure there’s mold behind it. The tub looked as though it had been painted white, and the paint started peeling while we showered. There was mold under the shower shelves, and the vents were dirty. The photos show what I mean.

Diane’s fantastic. She’s always friendly, great at her job, and helps me out in the morning. Her upbeat attitude makes things better, and the team’s lucky to have someone so dependable and kind. Highly recommend her!
