The wallpaper was peeling, and there were orange stains and hair on the bed. I asked for extra sheets and washcloths, since the room only had one washcloth. The man at the front desk was really rude.

The bed had little hairs in it, and the walls were falling apart. The floor felt both sticky and damp. It smelled like a moldy retirement home. You get what you pay for.

The bathroom was the worst part for me. It's so cramped, and the door opens inward, with the knob close enough to hit you in the side of the head if someone opens it while you're using the toilet. The toilet sits close to the wall and farther from the sink, so getting toilet paper means reaching backward at an angle. The whole room is tiny. I couldn't get to the closet easily, and I'm average-sized, not especially overweight. I had no bugs, which was a plus, and the bed was fairly comfortable once I warmed up. It was a firmer mattress, and I slept fine. The heat in room 122 was a problem, though. It took over four hours to get near 75°. I turned it up, even to 80°, but after two hours it still wasn't warm enough. The heat barely came out on medium or high, so I slept in my jacket with blankets from my car. I would've been better off sleeping in the car. The tub faucet was switched around, hot came out as cold and vice versa. The heater noise was something I'd read might be used to keep roaches away, but I didn't see any bugs. The walls aren't insulated, so sound carries. Since the rooms open to the parking area, the ice is in a room by the office, not down a hallway. The soap was dried out like beeswax and wouldn't foam. I bring my own toiletries and toilet paper, and even my own pillow, because hotel pillows are often flat. This time I had one flat pillow and one puffy one, so no stiff neck. I bring my own hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissues, extra towels, and a blow dryer if I need one. Be prepared if you want those things. I hated standing at the night window in the cold, trying to write. The woman didn't say much, but wasn't rude or especially nice. She didn't give me a Wi-Fi password. The network was open, but my phone wouldn't connect, and the Wi-Fi kept disappearing and coming back. That's one star off. The other thing I really disliked was the bathroom layout, and the weak heat was another reason I took off a star. It's an outdated, cheap motel, and the carpet could use cleaning. People should know what to expect from a budget place and bring their own supplies. I don't use TVs, microwaves, or coffee pots, so I can't say if those worked. I think the usual towel amount is two.
