Extended Stay America Suites Elizabeth Newark Airport

My family and I had a great stay at Extended Stay America in Elizabeth, NJ. ( Newark Airport), and this isn't a paid ad. We felt safe and well cared for, and whenever I needed something, the staff were quick to help and accommodating. They were professional and very kind. The bathroom was immaculate, with no mold anywhere, and the sheets were cleaner than mine at home. The coffee was delicious, too. Those chocolate-chocolate chip muffins taste like fudge, so they belong in the freezer!

The friendly staff made a difference during our four-night, five-day stay, and they even arranged a late checkout to fit our flight. The price was great compared with nearby places. We could walk safely to the mall, Ruby Tuesday, and IHOP, and the hotel is less than 10-15 minutes from the airport, handy for anyone without a car. We also went into Times Square, which was a highlight of the trip. It seems to serve more long-term residents than tourists, though there was a mix of both. I'd stay again for a short visit, especially if the place gets some TLC. Our room worked well for the time we were there, with a microwave, full-size fridge, stove, dish sink, and TV with regular channels. The property feels more like a motel, and could use maintenance, touch-up paint, and deep cleaning. The vending machines seemed pricey, though I understand prices vary by state. The airport shuttle was frustrating: after waiting more than an hour because of miscommunication, I called a Lyft. Breakfast was advertised, but it was only packaged chocolate and blueberry muffins with coffee, not a full breakfast. If all you need is a place to sleep rather than luxury, it does the job.

Destiny at the front desk was especially kind, professional, and helpful. She answered all my questions clearly and went above and beyond throughout my stay. I spent a week here and, despite initial concerns about cleanliness, found the room exceptionally clean and equipped with the basic things I needed. It was a pleasant stay, and I'd gladly come back.

I've been staying at this Extended Stay, just as I did in Woodbridge, and both have been wonderful experiences. The front desk staff take care of whatever I ask for and are polite, friendly, and courteous. Housekeeping keeps the building clean, works hard every day, and helps me with anything I need without giving me a hard time. The maintenance crew does a great job looking after the property and fixing things when needed, and they're polite and friendly too. Thanks to all the staff for the work you do through the holidays.
