Extended Stay America Suites Sacramento Elk Grove

For an Extended Stay America, this was one of the better ones I’ve tried, especially for cleanliness. We knew what to expect from the amenities, so that part was fine. A few small things were off: the fridge door opened the wrong way, and the alarm clock suddenly woke us at midnight, which had never happened to me before. The non-smoking room also smelled of cigarettes and Febreze. Annoying, but not enough to ruin the stay.

I always feel comfortable and welcome at the Extended Stay in Elk Grove, on Long Port Court. The staff are personal, polite, and respectful. Ms. Tina on the swing shift especially stands out, and I really appreciate her and the whole team. My experience here has been excellent.

We picked this place for its price and because it was close to the family member we were visiting. Lesson learned. The outside and online photos gave a better impression than the rooms did. The bathroom was in poor shape, including the tub, and basic bathroom supplies had to be requested. There wasn’t an ice machine, and the TV cable was already broken when we arrived. They replaced it, but finding it that way was upsetting. Honestly, it felt just one step above a Motel 6.

The rooms were cozy, but the air conditioner didn’t work very well. There weren’t many breakfast choices, either. At the counter they had no quarters for the washer and dryer, even though a sign said to ask the front desk.
