My room faced the freeway, but it was really quiet and I never heard the traffic. Pets are welcome, too. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and oatmeal, omelettes, biscuits with sausage gravy, and pork or turkey sausage.

Breakfast was clean and well stocked, and the staff were nice. Still, I won’t stay again. In room 256, the first pullout comforter had blood drops on it; the replacement was torn. We asked for another room after first seeing it, but were told none were available. We only noticed the peeling wallpaper and black mold in the bedroom after our kid was asleep on the sofabed. I spent the night worrying about the mold and slept poorly. For a room that cost over $180 plus taxes, the 20-year-old decor literally falling off the walls and exposing black mold is infuriating.

We’ve stayed here four times because the location works well for us: close to family and friends, just off the freeway, with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. This visit wasn’t as good as the earlier ones. The hotel looks old in places and needs updating. Free breakfast was lackluster, with dry pastries, and the blankets felt scratchy. The room temperature kept swinging between too hot and too cold, so I had to adjust it over and over. The biggest problem was that the outlets by the bed didn’t work. We had to buy an extension cord and plug in across the room to charge our phones.

The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to get up, and I loved having plenty of space in the room. The bathroom door kept closing, so I had to wedge the trash can in front of it. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. The women at the front desk were kind and friendly, and there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
