The little touches stood out, especially the lovely citrus scented soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The place was quiet, clean, quaint, and inexpensive. It’s independently owned, and the owners were kind. The housekeeper was pleasant, too. There’s beautiful artwork, a gathering area with board games, and an outdoor grill and sitting area. A steak house is in the same parking lot, and there’s plenty of parking. We’ll stay here whenever we visit the area.

The staff were so nice they made it feel like we were renting a room in their own house. We brought our dog with no issue, and the $25 nightly pet fee was very cheap. I liked the train theme, which was subtle enough not to feel tacky. The beds were comfortable, the TVs were fine, and the shower pressure was out of this world. The bathrooms could use renovation next. We saw the cleaning lady moving furniture and really cleaning other rooms, which was promising. Parking was easy, checkout was casual, breakfast was suitable, and the place felt very safe. At $75 a night, you can’t beat it. Would recommend and stay again, 10/10.

The bathroom had been updated and seemed clean, and the staff were very friendly and tried to help with local attractions and places to eat. But the room itself was run down and smelled like stale smoke despite the no-smoking policy. We were supposed to have a king, but the bed was definitely a queen. The sheets were stained, the blanket had holes, the microwave and refrigerator were dirty, and the furniture was dusty.

I like room 119, which faces a grassy hill and woods out back. I can open the window for fresh air, and it’s been quiet on my visits. The TV lineup could use movie channels, but WiFi is fast and I can use my usual providers on my laptop. It’s pet friendly, with a reasonable, average $25 fee, and the people are friendly too. I’ve stayed several times over recent years. Everyone, from the manager and front desk to cleaning and outside maintenance, has been helpful and friendly. The employees are what keep me coming back.

I travel all over the country for work, and I’ll stay here again when I’m in the area. The rooms are affordable and kept clean, with good sized TVs. All the staff have been extremely friendly. The hotel is next to a restaurant, Family Dollar, and a grocery store. There’s also a large room beside the lobby with board games and trains for families.
