Super 8 by Wyndham Ellenton Bradenton Area

The king room was awesome, and I had a view of the pool. I was unsure about the location because of a review, but decided to stay and ended up having a wonderful time. The staff were personable throughout all four days and helped with my dog while I went out visiting with my sister. That took a lot of pressure off. There was occasional noise from teenagers in the morning and around dusk, but an adult was always around, and it quieted down later at night. The towels and washcloths were lovely, soft on the skin instead of stiff. A very accommodating hotel, and I highly recommend it!

From check-in to check-out, we felt like family. The staff were incredible and clearly dedicated to taking care of guests. Our room was spotless, smelled clean, and had plenty of amenities. The common areas were clean and well maintained, the A/C worked like new, and the continental breakfast was glorious. This is our new favorite hotel, so don’t miss the chance to stay here!

I told housekeeping at 7am, as a courtesy, that I was leaving. Then at 8:30 I found out I needed another night. I asked for the same rate as the previous two days, but was told I’d have to pay the current rate, which was higher because I’d checked it. No courtesy at all. If there’s any chance you might need an extra day, don’t check out until the last minute.

I arrived around 8 or 9pm with a reservation and my two elderly parents. The lobby was dark, and the parking lot and entrance were poorly lit. Thankfully, there was guest check-in parking right by the door. The front desk agent was sitting in dim light and was the rudest I’ve encountered in decades. She was brash and aggressive, then said that was just her style. We decided to stay somewhere else. With my parents’ mobility issues, I’m not sure I’d have felt comfortable staying there anyway. The confusing location, the safety concerns from the dark lighting, and the awful service make this hard to recommend unless they greatly improve. It’s unfortunate when a big hotel brand buys another company, puts its logo on it, and expects customers to pay more without doing anything to improve the brand.
