Comfort Inn & Suites East Ellijay

We had one of our best hotel stays here and would absolutely come back. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were well appointed, and there's a Walmart next door with plenty of food options within walking distance. The whole place was spotless, from the parking lot through to the shower. The hardworking cleaning crew were always around doing a great job, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The linens were spotless too, and I loved that the mattress had a zip-on protector to cut down the chance of contamination from the previous guest.

The young people at the front desk were very rude, but the breakfast lady was amazing, and so was the breakfast. Hot tea and coffee are available 24/7, and the hotel shampoo was great. Rooms were sanitized with fresh linens, and the pool and gym were kept up perfectly.

I checked in Sunday and left Thursday morning after my work plans changed at the last minute. I had been told I'd be here until Friday, but they charged me for Friday anyway, even though I didn't stay that night. They said checking out on time didn't matter because I hadn't given the hotel 24 hours' notice. Apparently they wanted more warning than I got myself to cancel payment for a night I wasn't going to use. How ridiculous and audacious. I hadn't even made a reservation through Friday.

The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the area was fairly quiet. It's conveniently located near all the apple orchards, with restaurants within walking distance. They offer breakfast, though we didn't get up early enough to find out what was served. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool, and we'd definitely stay here again.
